I have been a landlord's agent (property manager) in B.C. for the past 15 years and consider myself to be fairly knowledgeable to the ins and outs of renting and the issues between landlords and tenants. These pages hopefully can be of service to both landlord and tenant.
I will be discussing every aspect of renting and moving from choosing a place to rent, the types of accommodation, applying to rent and the rental agreement, to the actual move itself.
I encourage your input as we move through this broad topic and will attempt to answer your questions.
Since I reside in North Vancouver, my experience is with BC legislation pertaining to tenant landlord interaction. From what I find searching the web, across Canada much of the legislation is close to being the same with a few regionally specific differences.
Please refer to your local jurisdiction on points of law in the matters of Tenancy.
